We are ex-caravanners and everyone thought we were mad but we really don't regret it. We can now afford holidays abroad, not worry about storage, towing etc. etc.  Just love popping everything in the garage and forgetting it, we don't feel guilty if we don't go away which we did with the van as we had so much money tied up in it.

We have just as much space as we had with our van, none of that folding up beds every morning and night. I still like some comforts though and we use a heater etc. but have not looked back
