I would have thought, allthough written a little "wooley" that the above should help you.
They state that the plastic caps can be "re-secured" with glue - this (to me) implies that they are owning-up to the fact that the plastics caps should in their normal state be "secured".
They also mention that the caps can "come adrift" which again (to me) implies that they are aware that the original method of securing them is insufficient.
I would say case closed - but then again, I'm no legal eagle!!
To the original topic -
I am watching these threads pretty damn close, 'cos I took the plung the other week and bought a monty 6 in the sales (working on the principle that next year I won't get it as cheap and it has 12 months warranty) but due to other comitments I haven't been able to try it out to check for faults.
Personally, the porch pole doesn't bother me - rightly or wrongly, I can shorten it.
My concerns are water leaks and a poor "pitch stance".
Roll on a dry day (when off work) so that I can get it pitched and get a look see.
