We went camping in Langdale last week at -5 and it was great. However got woken up by RAF helicopter landing very close to us in the next field as some people had got lost walking up crinkle crags and had to be airlifted off!! we took good sleeping bags and a duvet, a small 2 man tent! Had to keep all outdoor clothes on including hats and thickest of socks and a portable DVD player! Great fun... cooked a full english breakfast in the morning on a small camping stove then went walking There were a lot of other people on the site doing the same ...I would recommend it!
Well, we went to Great Langdale campsite. Unfortunatelly Jo wasn't too well so we had to come back early (She didn't catch a cold!). It was really great, we were easily warm enough, apart from when drinking beer! lowest the temp got was 0.7 so not as cold as you davethedog! Wasn't much snow on the campsite, but the hills had plenty.
