Depends what the weather is like.

I will be travelling in joggy bottoms and a t shirt this year - my shorts will be handy in case it gets warm on the way.

BF will probably be in shorts or joggy bottoms and nephew will be in his PJ's until at least half way down the motorway then probably shorts and t shirt.

Usually wear the same outfit on the way back too.

I love it when a big new 'twin axle' caravan towed by a big shiny 4X4 rolls onto a site. The occupants step out in full length caped 'Barbour' coats and Kangaroo skin bush hats... You just know it's going to be a good week for 'people watching'!...

Depends on the weather. If it`s warm 3/4 trackys and a vest top or t-shirt and flip flops or sandals. If wet, my long trackys, raincoat and trainers. If dry but cool, my long trackys or my pants with all the pockets up and down the legs and sandals or trainers. If we are stopping at the services on the way I will wear my jeans.

I usually wear yesterdays clothes. We usually stay overnight in a hotel before heading to wherever in France so the days before are creased but not totally grim. Unless food got dropped on them on the drive.

The bigger problem for me is what to wear when collapsing the tent. I have now gone with staying unwashed in PJs until its over. Mum takes the boys to get washed when the tent is collapsed and needs to be put in the bag. I do the dirty bits then get washed and dressed. As long as mum hasn't packed my clean clothes away.

If you worry about pitching up at a services in less than perfect attire you try jim jams!

3/4 length joggers (don`t like wet hems from wet grass), old t-shirt and fleece/zip front sweatshirt, plus waterproof sandals of some sort. Same sort of clothes as I wear to the allotment, in fact, except a bit cleaner.
Waterproof sandals - how do they work then?

I was wondering that.

I always go decent for motorway stops, meaning to change when I get there into my shorts so I don't dirty my trouser knees. I usually remember just as my knee in clean pants hits the ground!

But when I've packed up ready to leave I am so hot and sweaty I usually have a shower and change just before I leave.
