Hi You are at a party and they are all talking about their holidays on the beaches around the world, how would you explain your preference to live in a field in the UK under canvas. Regards Rex.
My holiday starts the second I wheel my bike though the front door. I don't have to spend a fortune, sit around in airports or spend hours trying to sleep through the sound of Kareoke in a hotel bar or the sound of the a bunch of silly twenty year olds puking up the years worth of alcohol that they've consumed in one night. I always have a tan, so I don't need to spend boring hours lying on a beach or even worse, by a pool. I always have fun, most people don't have enough fun to balance out the obscene amount they spent.
------------- There will be good days and bad days and THIS is one of them.
we pay to live in a field, having to take our accommodation and chattels with us. we take many chances on the weather, the sites facilities, and our neighbors!
are you lot Mad? yes we must be to a certain extent.
Hi merlin
We camping people are no different to the people in this link Are We Mad Not me I will only accept brilliant but that goes with madness,OK I am strange because I enjoy living in a field,a wood ,a forest or moor in a tent

I think its something you either love or hate. We love it! You make new friends everywhere you go, your normally with the people you love. As a lady in the tent next to us said to her little boy "camping is all about sharing". I for one will agree if i can help another person in anyway i will, normally that means lending them the car pump for the air beds!!
Your not stuck in the same routine as normal, the same old rat run of life, your out there free to all the elements rain and shine. I have memories of my children camping that will be with me always and are priceless. ITS GREAT
I've had some good and bad experiences, but the good outweigh the bad.
Putting up your tent is good exercise, assemble all the glamping stuff and then that's it, fill the kettle get the stove out and boil up, sit back in your chair waiting for the kettle and watch the world go by as others set up their temporary homes. Nice cuppa with more chilaxing and you're there!
Bed is when you choose, breakfast when you choose, shower when you want - if you want?
If it's raining sit indoors, if it's dry and warm then sit out.
