Seems most of our disastrous buys have already been mentioned on here:
Pyramid toaster (utter rubbish);
Travel kettle (took forever to boil and cost a bomb in fuel...memories of sitting with the engine running, trying to boil enough water to make half a cuppa!);
Water carrier (bulky and with tap - what a waste of time that was!);
Waste water bottle (why???);
Low-wattage toaster and kettle (took so long you just weren't hungry or thirsty anymore by the time they'd finished);
Rechargeable lantern which was so huge it needed it's own seat in the car;
Wardrobes (took longer to assemble and disassemble than it took to pitch the tent);
Sleeping bags which looked a bargain online but were obviously meant for caravanners (to be left on beds) because they were so huge;
Micro towels which were like trying to get dried with a non-absorbent dishcloth;
Plastic cutlery which bent and which wouldn't spear or cut food;
Plastic handled cutlery on a carousel holder which kept falling over;
Plastic glasses which wouldn't stack inside one another, so took up bags of room;
Stacking camping pans which held enough for one not-very-hungry person;
Unbreakable glasswear (it broke);
Inflatable pillow (most uncomfortable thing ever);
Camp cots (needed strength of Atlas to assemble and nearly took my eye out when taking apart).
Stick table (never trusted it!).
Wurmi pegs (not a patch on Delta pegs).
