Lol...I wonder what folk thought of me, pulling up in my then rusty old Renault Savanna with a non matching door (fabulous camping car!!) and putting up my 20 year old sun faded TT? Was I lowering the tone of the campsite? I do hope so!!!!!!
Can I join you, our camper is a late seventies model, judgine by the curtains, the canvas is a bit faded, and the PVC roof and hard top discoloured due to age. Until it was written off Richard drove an L reg Mondeo - we have now upped it to a T reg. I now drive a bright yellow, R reg Saxo, called Pikachu with Hello Kitty on the side This summer will be arriving on site with things like the boats, bikes etc in a trailer. Does this make us lower the tone of a campsite?
I have worked with small business for approximate 30 years, and for some a van is their only car. Put it this way, I have been offered lifts in clapped out old vans, often having had my bike put in the back, and been driven past by people I know in there latest reg posh car, leaving me getting soaked at the bus stop. I know who I would rather have as a camping neightbou.
