Funny how people that have all mod cons for their tent get categorised into going to the all mod cons sites?!

I like every luxury in my tent if i can carry it, but i like a quiet simple site

On the same point look around at your haven, glorious wonderful party land sites and they'll be a few basic domes with limited equipment

It's the people camping there that make or break a lot of the sites, nothing to do with their equipment

Give them an argos tent, a sleeping bag and a simple bbq and I can guarantee they will be able to amuse themselves at the top of their voices till 1am...alternatively give them gazebos and cadacs and 10 man tents and they can make just as much noise

For the record, I am NOT A CHAV! and I go to Haven and Park Resorts, however, I do see a lot of them there and avoid them like the plague 17

Well I started big, with a Montanna 6, ehu, for kettle, heater, electric pump and toaster, and also all the things we couldn't live without that needed charging.  We used this tent just the once because it was too big for the odd weekend away, and sold it on Ebay and made our money back, because we kept the cooker that came free with it.

I then brought a quecha 4.2, again enough room for all my electric stuff, a table and a couple of chairs and oh yes the three children, myself and my hubby, I can put this tent up by myself, it takes a while but not too much hassle, I used this tent a few more times, but again still seems like a lot of hassle for the odd night.

So today I have brought a 4 berth quecha 2 second pop up tent, already I have put it up and down 5 times, so I have mastered the art of getting it back into the bag, its big enough for myself and the three children to sleep, having kicked out my other half at the beginning of the year.  The last of my airbeds has got a puncture, so I'm considering a self inflating mat, and I'm not taking electric anything, I want to do this as light as possible, so we can do it more often without is seeming like a real chore.

As for a campsite, I want to go cheap, so as long as its got a toilet and shower that are clean and somewhere to wash up that will do for us, and preferably within walking distance of somewhere.

Before we got our campervan earlier this year my OH and I slept under canvas. For us it wasn't so much the site as the locality it was within. We like a drink of an evening so a mile to the pub is a priority!!  Bad i know but hey! We just had a coolbox and lantern. I found the most important thing was bieng able to stand up!! I hated the having to stoop every time I went in and out of the tent so a tall enough tent become a must. We had airbed matresses though and nice comfy sleeping bags as I can cope with anything as long as I am not cold at night. Regarding showers etc, yes I like a nice shower but can do with a wah. Also as regards hair washing daily this is why i use Batiste dry shampoo.....easily get another day without having to wash your hair this way!!

With the camper it is sheer luxury to me to have lights at the flick of a switch and a cold fridge...still all non EHU mind you!!!

See this is a tricky one..... we (well, by we I mean 'I' - the OH will mostly do as he is told camping-wise!!) are happy with a small play area and a clean shower/toilet block as long as there is plenty of hot water....

However, we also do like Ibiza (although without DD) :-) but at 17euros for a vodka and lemonade last year, we aren't returning this year!! LOL!!! that is, unless we win the lottery!!!

Maybe we are just split-personality campers?!?!?!

I'm a split personality camper - Magaluff with mates in May, middle of nowhere with kids in July - can't get more different really lol.
