I find it's not a matter of class or age or anything you can pin down. Noise is caused by noisy people. Some of it is pleasant, like the occasional 'Woof' of a happy doggy at play, or the laughter and shouts of kids having fun, or it can be unintentional and unavoidable, such as a crying child or a snorer at night.
The unpleasant and avoidable stuff is caused by insensitive boors, and in my experience they can be any age, from any walk of life. Makes me want to bang their heads together, and I am not a violent person!
Most of it has nothing to to with etiquette, either camping, or in every day life. It's just common sense, and being considerate.
Some people are just ignorant, and from time to time, need to be educated. I would have no problem confronting anyone who is interupting mine, or my families, good nights sleep.
we naively though that going to an Adults only site would be blissfully quiet but we were unlucky with our neighbours - my husband had recently lost his father & he needed to get his head together but the lot 'next door' just set him on edge, just as well we were only there a couple of days!
------------- rescue - my favourite breed of dog :-)
