This is a statment from the C&CC website
A Certificated Site (CS) is a smaller, privately run site, especially for you, our members. They house just five caravans or motorhomes, and as many tents as space permits.
When we arrived we were the only people in tents and about 10 caravans, but you can get 20 on so is this a certified site or not. They also have a bunkhouse and Luxury Camping all of which have to share the same facilities. To my reckoning you could have at anyone time at busy periods 3 large families in the Luxury Camping, 5 or 6 people in the bunkhouse and I don't know how many in the field camping, 2 loo's and 2 wash basins isn't enough to cater for everyone. My point being, the owners need to look at the facilities and at least have a look at modernising them. We won't be going back and whilst we were there a couple were putting their tent up and the lady went upto the toilet block and when she came back they pulled the tent down and went, and yes they had booked. Now is it just me or is there a theme here.
The C&CC also state that they regularly inspect sites, I think not.

According to the SiteSeeker on the website they inspected it only this year.
I think that this thread is possibly the best advertisement for the UKCS Review section that I've ever seen. I've just read the 12 reviews out of interest and the facilities are mentioned in most of them. I wouldn't have booked there after reading them. Did you read them before booking? Presumably you'll be leaving a very thorough review for others to benefit from!

IME I've found blokes are just a bit crap (pun intended!) at shutting the door, as someone else said they are used to urinals and it often doesn't really occur to them. It's not the sites fault and it doesn't make me think that a bloke is a "pervy creep".
FWIW I've walked in on a number of blokes pee'ing when they haven't shut a door in mixed facilities - they are usually much more embarrassed than I am!
I have to agree with P & T
Assuming someone is pervy because they didnt shut the toilet door sounds very judgemental and unfair imho.
Maybe he had one too many shandies or had the runs and didnt have time to close the door?
Here it is not unusual to have the toilets, showers and washing up sinks in one block (as Val already mentioned) and it is also common to find the ladies are closed for cleaning so everyone has to use the mens until the cleaners are done (or vice versa).
Maybe walking into the mens when they are guys standing at urinals is not the most comfortable of situations but you dont see anything and it is easy to avert the eyes away from them.
Now where is my tin hat lol

Hi dezzie
My review as now been published and you will note I've been both possitive and negative. I notice you visited in April this year. I've basically mentioned the same problems had you said, Taps not working, Nothing to wipe your hands on once you've washed your hands, washing up facilities all under the same roof as loo's etc, etc.
All the same problems you encountered on your review are the same as we encountered so I don't know what the owners said they were going to improve.
I think I will go down the same route as you and E-mail the owner and let her know the problems we encountered, as you said she was very nice the one time we met her and maybe something good will come out of it.
Whilst in Seahouses we noticed a lot of adverts for campsites springing up all over the area so maybe a little freindly competition will jolt them into making some improvements, otherwise i'm afraid people will desert them and use the competition instead. We picked up some info on another new campsite close by and they speciffically advertise that the facilities are all brand new and seperated so I know where i'll be thinkig of going next time i'm in the area.

Glad to see that (despite the unintentional sidetracking down the `pervy' track !)you are going to contact the owner with your feed back. It sounds like they may well be people who will listen to what you have to say, & then they have the choice of whether to make changes or not.
If they do, great, if not - well those who empathised with your dislikes will know to go someplace else !
