My mum still has my 2 whittled sticks from when I was a girl guide to put my wellies on upside down out side the tent! So about 22 years ago!! Wouldn't use them now as my wellies are too long and the sticks would probably break under the strain!!LOL

It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

Me!!!   I have a fleecy blanket that i've inherited from my hubby when he was in the scouts so it must be 30 years old!  It doesn't look outdated and has had a fair bit of usage over the years  but still going strong.  Infact I,m sat with it wrapped round me now.  If I go camping  the blanket always travels.  Unfortunately, everything else I have would be a modern collectable!! But hey ho another 20 years down the line I could join this club.

I have a quilt that my mother made for my bed when I was a little girl. It's heavy & not very warm but it has lots of indigo & pale blue tiny animals running all over it, & I love it. It must be over 40 years old.

We are still using a Tilley camping stove that my parents bought in the early 60s.   It is super and although I do look at new stoves from time to time haven't seen one that is better.     It has 2 burners and a little grill.   Really compact and very cute.

Last year we stopped using the gas lamp from the late 60s as I worried about the fumes/ risk of fire in the tent.   We do cheap LED lights now.     We still use it to sit out in the evenings though.

My orange and white coolbox that my parents bought in the 70s. My advice is if it,s not broken don't fix it.

Ditto - Tilley stove and grill that OH's parent's got in the 60's... and the orange Hago stand they bought with it (although that is now green as I stripped and repainted it last year because the paint was flaking).

I'd like a new stove, but can't find anything that folds quite as small and still has the grill....

I have a wooden mallet that my dad bought in the 1940's. It still has the original handle and it's much better than the modern rubber ones.

I have a very old metal teapot that my auntie gave me. She and her husband had it when they got their first car, in 1947.
