Hi Helen, Just to let you now, the Alaska DOES have a rear porch area (and back door) that is actually pretty roomy..... TBH when you look at the dimensions of the rock springs 4, there really isn't that much difference between the sizes of the 2 tents,Thats another reason why I "treated" us to one. When we saw the Alaska in the flesh (In the camping shop) it was actually pitched in between 2 supposed 4 birth tents and was bigger than both of them!!!.... We had 3 big self inflating mats in ours with room for storage inside the bedroom area...... T'is a pretty good tent
Coleman didn't do themselves a favour then, as even the sites with them still out there must be using the wrong plan diagram for the Alaska...
Its a shame, but for how often ours will be used the Rock Springs will do fine. One question - is the inner tent roof on the Alaska mesh?
Glad you're happy and its an excellent price! I saw your review in the snow
I actually got ours in Camping and General, i just walked in one day and they had them at £59.99 on special i then got 10% off as they were having a sale so ended up paying £54 was well chuffed.... me and my bargains ay?
Yes, the inner tent roof is mesh which would be great in the summer (but I couldn't comment as the only time we have used the tent is in the snow LOL)
The ONLY thing I would say is that it does possibly need a Vango adventure tarp whacked on the front to stop rain getting in to the porch area.... Also the picture on the tags that came with the tent are the same as the ones on the websites etc, so until you got it home you would have no idea that it had a rear porch!!

Hi Andy - you'd be doing Coleman a favour if you could advertise the correct dimensions of the tent.... Its seems a bit of a mess on Coleman's part, possible worse than the retailers that sold the Vango Columbia 600 all last year with photos with fibreglass poles when it is a steel poled tent (just loses them business - but got you a bargain).

ooooohhh..... There's a coincidence, I pitched Annie today too, I must have been coming out in sympathy for you LOL
This was Andorra 2. Must be just about new as it's in great condition. It's older, pre 2002, as there's just the big door rather than the zip out panel. Canvas and roof lining and curtains are like new.
