It's one of the best sites I've been on.(Probably THE best)

It's brilliant for kids to get them back into an old fashioned camping experience, by that I mean that if you want them to recharge their souls from all things techy you can, as described earlier they can walk, play in the woods, ponds and splash about in the lake.

Last year with our friends we had a 14yr old with us, who lives off her mobile phone (her's couldn't get reception there... mine worked, ha ha)loves the TV and the PC. When she realised she couldn't get her phone to work she was grumpy, but to watch her transform over the next few days was a delight to behold, rather than being a grumpy teenager, she was laughing and splashing about with the rest of us, and not once did you hear the "I'm bored" phrase.

This year we are using electric, and I will take my laptop, but it's going to be for inclement weather only and under lock and key. I loved how my kids benefited from the experience.

From the honesty boxes, teaching them that in this day and age trust still abounds...ooh by the way, although the kayaks are available and technically you could get them 'free' it does say if I remember rightly to put a donation in an envelope for the use of one - please correct if I'm wrong, it's just how my foggy brain remembers it.

I thought the kids would miss being by the beach, far from it the lake made up for it, the atmosphere is really good there, and the owners really friendly and very helpful.

I stayed on an AWP, and it was fine - I do have a footprint as well as a carpet.

Can't wait for my next visit

Also I notice your location as the Dutch mountains. Are you really Dutch. I only ask as my wifes family are All from Helmond near Eindhoven

I'm sorry to hear that...

Yes! I'm as Dutch as wooden shoes and collie flower and live in the foothills of the Dutch Mountains. That would be around Nijmegen, close to zee German Border (Jawohl!).

I'll be in Eindhoven on Thursday for another First Aid course so I'll give a shout to your inlaws from Best to Veldhoven, then, shall I?
