We ended up with quite a collection of bugs thanks to curious daughter one (wanted to examine them) and curious daughter two (wanted to eat them) when we last went camping. I'm not a fan, but would never put insecticide down while camping. Another vote for Avon Skin So Soft body oil spray - works fantastically well as an insect repellent

My youngest(2) like bringing me bugs, usually dead after rather too rough curiosity.

There are natural ways to deter crawlies and ants, I use cinnamon powder and citrus washing up liquid round my steps to keep them sneaking in the house, sure others know of more natural deterrants that wont exactally kill them. Ive seen them have a sniff and find another path if they dont the silly beggars get stuck in the liquid.

My wife is petrified of moths, last year we had a Poplar Hawk Moth on the doorway of the tent, these beasts are HUGE 10cm wingspan!! yikes that was one large moth

I found a Tiger Moth catapilar in the garden last week It was massive measured in at 6cm and really FAT and hairy,this is another big moth. I captured it (saved it from my cat) and put it in a empty fishtank withs some leaves and twigs. It has just started to pupate, my 2 year old daugher loves it, we have called it george! (after peppa pigs brother! - LOL) my wife did not approve!!
