just returned from spending some more money at Poundstretcher, B&Q and Dunelm Mill...

bought a couple of lovely super soft fleece throws for our new moon chairs at the Mill, plus a set of BBQ tools to go with our new BBQ...a quick trip to B&Q resulted in some foam pipe lagging for our roof bars and a roll of PTFE tape to solve the problem of our 10 litre plastic jerry can which leaks at the tap...then at Poundstretcher we grabbed camping chocolates (an absolute necessity!!), a flexible trug for washing dishes in and numerous other bits and bobs...saw a rather novel foldable camping beer cooler complete with padded lid that doubles as a camping seat, but i had to draw the spending line somewhere...!!

So far this year?

Hmmm about £650 easily! But it is not an annual spend, it's an investment

Hmmmm...good question! Not sure I really want to answer this as I might be shocked by the total. But here goes:

We've recently decided to upgrade from 'crouching camping' to 'standing and sitting comfortably camping'. So:

Outwell Nevada M plus footprint £106 ebay
LSR repairs to mosquito mesh in Nevada £22 inc postage
Nevada M extension £90 Taunton Leisure
Nevada M carpet £60 Taunton Leisure
Foldable roll top table £40 GO
2 x Kampa The Guvnor chairs £72 Outdoorworld
Campingaz Camping Chef Plus with hose, reg & 907 bottle £50 ebay
spare 907 & 904 bottles with handles £23 ebay
Camp kitchen box with various utensils £15 Poundstretcher
Tristar 45L 3-way £144 GO

Grand total: £632

Ouch! I knew that was going to hurt. Buuuuut...that's everything! 5 years worth of holidays all paid for apart from pitch fees...no need to buy anything else ever....for now...;-)

Although I might upgrade from double SIM if somebody made a decent double campbed (think Outwell Cordoba for 2)...hmmmm....

What amazes me is how little we have all spent compared to the prices in the travel agents window! I nearly fell over the other day when DD pointed out an "offer" and we realised the 4 figure sum was EACH. As for spending this year, I was doing quite well until I impulse bought a tent whilst looking for a windshield for the stove.
