We seldom stay at a site for more than 3-4 days, usually just 1 as we move on each day. We try to find a site within cycling distance of shops, town or village, beach, river or canal.
So our days include walking or cycling to shops, maybe a leisure outing included. If the weather is hot and we have a good book, we just sit on the site and read.
And of course there is always a bit of housework to do, washing up, preparing food, keeping things clean.
When we had the tent and were moving on every day, there was all the putting up and down to keep us busy and exercised!

Good question frogsdropping! I do enjoy going out and about, especially visiting somewhere I havn't been before. It depends on the weather as well. I will try and balance it out, so I don't feel as if I need another holiday. I enjoy taking it easy, I am hoping to go to Beddgelert again in October. We both love it there. I will be mainly staying put, but will go into the village to have a mooch. Take the k9 for his daily walks in the forest. Just generally relaxing. Listening to music, reading, and a glass of wine, and not forgetting the BBQ and marshmellows. heath63
