Hi, no using it in a week or so for a wedding get together in Cornwall, will report more then. Just sold our Outwell Parkdale 4PA, it's very similar just slightly smaller and poled. No, had to find a footprint that hopefully fits. We liked the idea of mesh on both doors and also you could use the side door with king poles. Watch this space
Have you tried out your new tent yet? Looks really good!
Hi Deb, 'new tent' Odessa 5 had to be returned due to couple of faults (seam sealer on window and small hole in roof). We were given a complete refund by Outwell and then went for a similar tent again - Outwell Blackwood 5. Had to pay a bit more. We are happy with it, just maybe not quite as wide. No side door with king poles unfortunately but it will suit us going forward. Off to Edinburgh soon for a week weather permitting!!
A new bucket!
The seat bit of the lid got a crack in it (No jokes please!)
Couldn't risk a pinched bum cheek sitting on that!
Discussions are still ongoing as to which one of us actually caused the crack. Obviously, I can hazard a good guess, but Muckerette wouldn't appreciate me divulging such information on a public forum!
A camping quilt - basically a sleeping bag laid flat with water-resistant fabric, and a clip so you can wear it around your shoulders without it coming apart as you reach out for a coffee/wine etc. Lovely colours but quite slippery... also works as a picnic blanket. Not a 'posh' branded one but feels OK and hopefully will be useful for my ... sharp intake of breath ... one and only camping trip of the year (bar several nights in the garden when it's been tooooooo hot to be indoors for a woman of a certain age.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I bought some stoves.
Two for my collection that I will probably never use:
A swedish army ranger stove with svea burner.
A military trangia with Trangia burner.
Both date from at least 1965 by date stamps so a year older than me.
A load of others I will use:
The new for 2024 Trangia storm gas burner.
A fire maple hornet and petrel pot (again).
A robens fire tick.
And, because I don't know where my svea123r is, a new Svea123r.
I also got an Exped dura 6r mat and an Exped rem pillow to go with the Sierra designs sleeping bag. They are essential.
That is me almost all done as far as updating my gear for next year.

Thanks Ewen, Deborah - I'm really pleased with it, and am plotting to head on up onto the fells with it when I spot a calm spell, not too far as it weighs a fair bit!
Haven't bought anything for ages beyond consumables like Toilet fluid, oh, and a new gas pigtail. But been looking at a couple of sites for 'a last fling of the year stay', which meter EHU, one with a small 'allowance' beyond which you pay per kWh, so purchased a 'Power Meter' to monitor my electricity consumption.
It could be cheaper to use the gas for heating/water heating than use the pay for use electric depending on their current charge tariff! Just got a very good refill price on a 10Kg Gaslight cylinder which puts it at 29p/kWh equivalent.
Easy enough to 'plumb in' to the wiring, just got to shift my lazy bum up to the van to do it!
