Our names are Andi and Rob and we BOTH have OCD
On the 15th August we bought a 6 berth dome tent from a local seller on ebay it cost us £30 WOOHOO bargain we're going camping!!...we had air beds, couldn't find the valve for our double so 'borrowed' a double from my grandparents, (found the valve now have 2 doubles) who also 'lent' us 2 chairs and an aluminium roll up table, so far so good....we had 2 camping chairs of our own so for the four of us we were sorted with a table, a tent, a chair each and air beds. BUT we needed sleeping bags and the 7 yr old fidgets so would be better if she had a bed that the sleeping bag was attached to so she wouldn't fall out...ok £20 for her bed and just some standard sleeping bags from Argos x 3. Then of course 15 yr old is diabetic so we can't go anywhere without cooking facilities can we? So after trawling all the local shops we ended up with a Royal 2 burner with grill, oh and the gas bottle, hose and adapter, and pans to cook in and a kettle. A trip to Tesco provided cute mini silver storage cannisters to put the tea, coffee, sugar and sweetner in oh and a small washing up bowl, and a gadget for washing dishes that stores the washing up liquid (don't bother the liquid comes out it's in the bin!!) ah and a silicon heat pad that doubles up as an oven glove and a set of knives, forks, spoons in a little tray with a lid that's oh so handy for camping. Ooo and because the camp kitchen was on offer in local camp store we had one of those for good measure and Rob indulged in expanding his torch collection..no EHU.
We thought we were sorted off we went for 3 nights, we lasted one ... the tent leaked! We should have tried it out first oh well off we go and buy Fabisil x 2 aerosol cans, then Grandparents (don't you just love them) told us about the camping exhibition locally.....one visit and over £300 later we have an Outwell Georigia XL and carpet the old tent hasn't been waterproofed and now we have 2 tents.
Off we went again for 2 nights...fantastic!! The tent's great, lovely and warm and big..hmm big think how much stuff we can get in it!! (We already took both cars with us). We stopped in Focus on the way and added 2 solar spot lights 'to stick outside the tent so we can see'
Tinternet and this site has now made our camping collection grow, delivered last week: Kitchen larder Larger aluminium table (DUH bought one with short legs!! Nevermind we can use it in the 'kitchen') 2 x water carriers collapsible Footprint Gas heater and cannisters
This week to be delivered: Handirack and holdall - so we can carry more kit!
Visit to Decathlon yesterday involved purchase of 2 second base, inner and 3 berth tent so if the kids aren't with us we can use that (and squeeze us all in for last minute overnighters); 6 x microfiber towels various sizes and other items.
In the meantime we've bought spare gas cannisters, they were a bargain, extra sleeping bags x 2 because I was cold, a porta potti to avoid using a bucket, Kampa evo huge cool box, small cool box and large insulated jug, numerous items that would be 'handy' and a pack of 4 plastic beakers in Tesco yesterday afternoon (we were back to school shopping) for 35p. Ah I forgot the new plates, bowls, mugs and side plates set; the 2 new chairs to replace the borrowed ones and a fold up table to sit outside with and 101 other items....
We still need a full height larger table; Large plastic stacking boxes to store this stuff in and a handheld hoover!!....NOW WHO MENTIONED THE CADAC??? Wish we'd known about these BEFORE we bought the Royal and Rob mentioned towbar and other Grandparents trailer yesterday...it's not going on MY car!!

Most impressive BrookeKim!!
I just love going in camping shops for an item, only to buy something else.
I went in looking for a side canopy, only to buy a Cadak, after only buying a Rotar Barby two weeks previous.
Most impressive too is Quinthunderer, for not only getting two tents, but also having a day tent too!! Now, then now then, how much adaption does the Gelert canopy require to fit on the side of the 600+? Will we be needing widgets?

Oh boy!!
It's happened again.......
Leave me alone for five minutes and "kerching" more kit coming our way.
I have at last found and purchased a side canopy.
In my defense, this has only cost me half of what I expected to pay as the Gelert apparently fits nicely to most TT's, and the Gelert is half the price of the Outwell canopy I had originally intended to buy at our local shop, but ended up buying a full monty Cadak instead.
Sooooooo, hand cuff me now, before I reach for my debit card any more this season!!! Please?
