Collapsable basket thingy with long handle and wheels bought in a fantastic shop in Holland (That AngelicMinx will know very well) called Blokkers.

If ever you go to Holland (Highly reccomended) or Belgium check this shop out. Its fantastic.

Oooo I think we are going to Holland and maybe Belgium this summer. So will definately check out Blokkers, perhaps they might have the washing up bowls with handles that I covet.

I'm a bit sad but not alone judging from the length of this thread.

You will have a field day in there. Im sure that some shops are bigger than others but I always make a bee line for Blokkers asap.

We use a 'S........'s' shopping basket (with handle) - so the washing up dries whilst it's being carried back to our pitch.  We always take a universal sink plug with us, too.

I hope not too many "newbies" find this post, can just imagine them thinking,,came on here to find out about camping and get some tips, and all I can find is talk about washing up !!!!

Roll on the main camping season and all those fantastic stories of far and not so far flung places, and the thrills and spills of camping, not washing up....because i`m so embarrased when I turn up at the sinks with three bowls, plastic, three mugs, plastic, and three forks, plastic.

I have to say that I thought camping was about pegs and guys and technical tips - who would have thought one of the longest most read threads would be about washing up!  we really do need to get out more

I can't believe us Brits can have so much to say about Washing Up. At present time, this thread has so far had 70 replies and 1506 hits.  It is just because we all love to get our Fairy out, or because we just love to meet up at the sinks and then discuss the WEATHER !!!!

If it's with the kids and the larger tent we use a plastic supermarket basket that we ended up with, holds everything we need it to and allows it all to drain. It also holds all eating stuff in the back of the car when packing up.

I have not seen the Trugg buckets but have used something similar by the name of Gorilla Tub, they are made for heavy duty use (building work / landscaping) and are very strong.

In Homebase yesterday, they had some really huge ones. You could practically use them as a paddling pool for toddlers, they were that big.

The kids love them, they have different colours, also as you said some of them are huge, but I like them as they have more use than the average bowl/bucket.
