Can you stand up in your quechua base utility tent?
How is it when it is windy, does it lean towards the cooker?

Yes I can stand up in it!

It's been really windy this weekend and it was fine

There are guys on the sides that will hold it in place if you want to use them (i never guy it though)

Also I have a windshield on the kitchen unit so wind not a problem at all

Great video...and the tidiest tent ever!  I'm just back from Pembrokeshire where my 16 year old daughter and her mates created carnage in their Bell.  After an hour it looked as though a plane had crashed...
Shame my house isn't as tidy!

Val - compare your stylish set up with the girls' asbo-qualifying gypsy encampment...

Cheers Mille - Yeah - they love it.  They'll all be driving within six months and have each vowed to have a towbar fitted so they can up'n'off at a moment's notice.  Looks like I'll be back to my "proper" tent soon.  How dull.

Animal skin rugs were a BIG mistake though; every critter in West Wales came a-visitin.  Said rugs never made it past the skip on the way home...

I was in West Wales too... Cae Dulast week. Loved it.

I don't do aniumal skins, being a vegan, but I do consider carefully what rugs to buy, in case they attract bugs!  I stick with cotton flatweave... at least I can see if there's any critters!

Val - Pembrokeshire is riddled with sites that allow fires, they're finally realising that there's a market to tap.  I was at Garn Isaf - fab place.  Oodles of room for each pitch and the (extremely cool) Annie who owns the place drives around every evening on a mini tractor and trailer, delivering firewood.

Millie - the rugs were dead when I got them...although they did come to life after a couple of days of critter action.

Phil - just saw the Sangatte reference - LOL!  Spot on.  Two of the girls refused to travel home in the car and insisted on clinging on underneath a train...

It's not that tidy! Everything is stuffed in boxes or under the sofa/table

Think I will be going for a shower at Pillaton, then returning to find UKCS campers have settled in ...

Good old drive thought to Pembrokeshire!

Picked my ebay trailer up from Fishguard

Wales is appealing to me though, might venture towards the gower first...

Val I love the image of squatters moving into your tent as soon as your back is turned!
You need a sign by your windbreak - "next guided tour will be at --:--" (and a padlock for when you need to vacate it!)
