whilst camping in France this year I went to the showers late at night and as I was putting the soap on for a shave the lights went out, I switched it back on only to hear "Merci" from a very female voice...had to do a quick check that I was in the right showers. Each to their own.

I walked into the ladies washroom at one site. It was a portacabin and the only indication that it was the ladies was a sign on the outside of the door which was wide open so couldn't be seen. I only wanted a quick face wash so I left the door open. The warden spotted me and turfed me out  

I suppose I should have realised due to the lack of urinals but I had not long finished pitching the tent and popped to the nearest washroom for a quick wash and brush up

Goodness Bob, popping into the ladies for a quick one eh?

My wife followed me to the male section one evening, she was still holding my hand when I climbed the stairs until she realised.

Even if she'd inadvertently gone in on her own, I doubt whether she would have been invited to leave.

As you found out, not all the signs are obvious, hence the reason why some folk hesitate before entering, and wait for someone to exit first.

I rarely confuse the premises where I can get a quick one and the premises where I can relieve myself of it afterwards

Aha Bob, I know what you mean.

Whilst tenting back in September, I fancied a quick one.

I told my wife I needed to check a route on my bicycle. Off I went to check out the local pub, I had my quick one, and cycled back. Like yourself I knew which 'premise' to use after, having been to the site before.

The outcome was, I took her out to lunch the next day at the aforementioned pub, where I had a couple of 'slow ones'.

We both enjoyed the cycle back to our tent.

I recall one site I followed a fellow tenter to the loo, I assumed someone in jeans, T-Shirt, tattoos on forearms
and cropped hair would be my guide as I'd not been there before.

How wrong I was!!!

Basically I was deemed to be a pervert, trying to enter the female block!!

Methinks I should've gone to Specsavers eh?
