I was quite emotional too, when Sally was being battered by the thunderstorms. I was logged into the rain radar site and was having kittens watching!

By the way Sally, which moody daughter are you referring to?

Having a change from rocks to look at maths for a day or so.

I think maybe the weather is improving now. Nothing happening here since this morning. The storms seem to be over Devon today.

That radar page is really good. Though to start with I thought the white indicated a drier spell. Now I know the red/pink/white shows the heaviest rainfall. lol I was expecting it to stop when the core of the storm was right overhead!

As you only have one daughter there is only one moody possibility?

Sal

I thought I was giving the impression of 'self reliance' but I must have slipped somewhere. My neighbours have looked at the weather forecast and offered me an overnight bunk in their huge caravan 'if the weather turns nasty'..

I've ever so politely declined, after all they won't be here after Wednesday but It was such a kind offer, I'm touched.

Would you have taken them up on it?

Sal

I am sure you are right, however I do feel bad about it as they have also been kind enough to let me charge up my tablet in their mains outlet.

I see a yellow weather warning for rain has been issued for the SW! Back inside tent now just finishing off Sally's one pan corn beef hash and thinking about chocolate!

I really, really hope it clears up for you by the 12th

Sal

Thank you dry weather would be nice but the camping trip we often joke about the most was the wettest we will have fun whatever the weather. Our son is 9 and at that age rain does not stop play you just get wet

Sounds the right attitude to me. Taking your idea I have lots of material for jokes from the past two weeks17

Rain ifalling in stair rods at the minute so been over for a quick shower and now returning to nice comfy sleeping bag for a while. It should be better this afternoon!

Sal
