There are campers and there are people who own tents. Sad but true.
Have had someone pitch a tiny tent in our small family car space while we nipped out to the shops. My OH is 6'2 and huge, they moved when he sort of 'asked'
We arevcaravaners now on a perma pitch, great view over the field, which is sometimes used by tourers/campers... it's huge and yet so often we come home to find them right in front of us with their tents, vans, cars etc totally blocking our view!
its like they dont even notice other people are tryng to chill out too
Some people are completely ridiculous.. We turned up at our pre-booked pitch, and someone had already taken up 1/4 of it.. We ignored, and pitched our tent in the space we had left.. Only to be approached by the pitch-hogs, asking us why we had taken their parking space with our tent, and that they would now generously park their car on an empty pitch in the field but if anyone claimed the pitch, we would have to move! We politely told them that certainly would not be happening. If we'd moved any further away from them we'd have been taking up the pitch next to us on the other side.. Thankfully they have now packed up and gone home.. Daft people!

We camped at a pitch where you like style site last BH. We were the first to arrive and pitched to the left and to the centre of an ehu point. We then went to the shops. On returning a large family group of 8 tents and 10 cars had rocked up, pitched in a large circle thus to create a social area. No problem other than their guys crossed ours, they pitched a pop up tent 1 metre directly outside our side door and they then park a range rover 2 metres (no exageration) from our main front door. So we have 2 doors out of action and can now only use the other side door, but.... they park three of their cars this side too and leave us parking way away from our tent! Again there was loads of space available but because they wanted ehu and to camp in this way they selfishly pitched for their own 'needs' without a thought to others and spoilt our holiday. As always we should of complained at the time but we were wossy!
for several days a couple have camped, alone, on the rally field opposite our van
Sat afternoon they went out and while away 8 tents, 6 cars and approx. 12 campers turned up, pitched slap bang next to them (the field was empty other than a campervan) and blocked their tent entrance with an estate car!
there was no need for this and I felt so sorry for the couple who had clearly been having a lovely relaxed few days together
shame on the site manager for allowing them to do it!
