No there still at the top of the hill, it went a few hundred metres below that.

It's called mountainboarding. Very much like snowboarding, with your feet binded to the board, leaning to turn etc. Just not reliant on snow and able to ride over almost any terrain. Keeps me fit! Just teaching my 5 year old girl the basics at the mo, she loves it and is coming along really well bless her.

How do you go about starting Mountainboarding?.  I have a 5 yr old son and he's a bit extreme   i am wondering if he'd fancy that, me on the other hand would feel a bit daft, i cant go the kids skateboard

Have a look at this for starters. It will give you some good useful info about which board to choose etc. There are many centres around the country that will give training and board/protection hire or you can self teach. I can't ride a skateboard to save my life! Don't let that put you off, it's nothing like skateboarding, think more on the lines of snowboarding.

Start him off on something like this for around £115.00

Leading up to something like this when he's adult size for around £1250.00!

Let me know if you need any more info, more than happy to help in any way.

Love to get through a good couple of books and the mandatory walk around the site to look at the other tents!

Apart from the actual camping its self I have camped at motorsport meetings, race marshalling, walking, and canoeing / kayaking.

My avatar is a bit of a give away for my favourite camping activity, I like offroading and going to Land Rover shows.

Love a lot. Trust a few. But ALWAYS paddle your own canoe!!
