We've nearly done it !! Booked to go with our new, well one and only tent, various equipment half of which we probably won't use but if I can't have my kitchen sink I'm taking everything else this time lol. Going just outside Edinburgh as our oldest son and his family live there, 2 nights next week and I am trying to like the idea seeing as it was mine but can't get my head around sleeping on the floor! Hubby can't wait, the boy scout and past cub leader in him coming out. And as for the 13 yr old girl, takes her hours to get her face on. Oh sawd it we're going and we're going to enjoy it. Everyone else here does so why shouldn't we? ( I )
See you when we get back, just slightly nervous me thinks but there surely are no wild bears in Scotland
Not quite the floor I guess but for the first time I don't want to spend any more than I have , about £250 to get started, we might not like it ! I do intend to be rather merry when I get into my sleeping bag on my mat so hopefully I won't notice hehe
I do hope sleeping directly on the floor does not deter you from camping again, and would strongly urge you to conside using a good airbed (such as the Coleman Comfort; available in both single and double sizes); it will make a massive difference, believe me!
Hi 2x40 plus+2teens, you will have a fantastic time and will enjoy it so much you will not be able to wait until you next trip as its so addictive. Have a great trip and enjoy.
Hello, just to inform you we had a fantastic time. The campsite I chose and yes I am taking all the credit for this one, was amazing; a Scottish 4 diamond site or is it suns? Maybe I can plug it here I'm not sure? We spent time with our oldest son and his family; girlfriend and 18 month grandson. The kids loved it and you're all absolutely right, it is addictive and I'm already checking out the next place to stop. Oh and we stayed an extra night!
The site is addictive, I've been reading here for months and making notes.
Glad you had a great time Lou, were leaving shortly for Anglesey, been up since 5.45am soo excited, oh well worst bit now is trying to wake up 2 grumpy teenagers and my younger son. Happy Easter.
