    hi all

       new to all this just bought  new tent going camping first time can you tell us if the 2 ringed electric hobs are any good or shoulld i get gas cooker

don't know about the electric hobs but everyone seems to have the gas cookers,we have a gas  one and we cook all sorts on it.you can't always get an elec hook up on all the sites

gas would be better because it cools down quicker and can be controlled

gas everytime much easier to control turn off burner turn off at bottle  off you go

Gas is better because you can still use it if on a site without EHU.

 With an electric hob the flex would be a hazzard if you were outside and a fire risk if you were inside the tent. Electric rings remain hot for a long time.

I'd have to go with gas too, but bear in mind you need decent ventilation when using a gas stove and they can also cause a little more condensation when camping in colder weather.

With a two ringed electric hob, you are more than likely to trip the site breakers or fuses as occasionally you may be limited to as little as 3 Amps (720 Watts) on some sites. I also agree with the above comments about electrical safety in tents.
