The problem will be that your poles will be too long for a smaller inner, and even if you trimmed your poles down to fit that, then your outer would be too big - the innerand outer are designed to go on a single set of poles remember, which is why the match has to be perfect.
I also wonder ( given the back door/no back door issue) whether the inner you have seem for sale may be a Hartford L which I don't think had a back door.
