Hi all. Help needed! We have the tiniest hole int the roof of our Vango Oregon TBS 800. I think it caught against a zip when we last pitched it in very high winds. Anyway I can't find any spare swatches of fabric to buy on the Vango website. Anybody any ideas?

I'm not a complete idiot...some bits are missing.
Right, its STORMSEAL, for holes it says put a piece of sticky tape over the back of the hole, apply glue to the front overlapping by 10mm,keep flat, after 12 hours remove tape, glue takes 24 hrs to dry completely. Hope that makes sense, it sounds like it leaves a flexible membrane in the gap. Anything else just ask.
Oh its less than £4 .
Vango are useless for customer services and will not send or sell you material.
You can make a repair yourself or try a professional tent repair company. You will have to accept that they wont match the colour exactly but you don’t have much choice because of vango.
If it is a small tear rather than a hole you could try tenacious tape on both sides.I have used it twice before and the repair is as strong and as waterproof as the original nylon. The tape is clear so when repairing a tear with T tape you dont have to find a patch that matches the tent colour.
The glue stuff is brilliant at repairing things. Charlie had a new pair of wellies not long after we had Bob the dog, just as he was chewing everything. He bit a huge chunk out of the front of one of them and he was not popular (farmers and their wellies are inseparable) I duck taped the inside, stuck on part of the bit he'd chewed out and filled in the holes with the glue, then when dry took off the duck tape & it's still doing good now about 8 months on. When you wear them for about 8 hours a day (take them off and put boots on during the daytime when not in muck) that's not bad going. Have also used it to mend Thomas's watch strap (also dog chewed) and stuck the soles back on Lucy's trainers (favourite pair, cost £2 from woolworths last sumer and won't throw them away)! Thankfully have not had to use it on the tent!! Had to get a new tube though just in case.
