After much searching and saving I finally got myself a Cabanon Dome for the odd weekend away with just me and my daughter. I thought it was a good idea at the time. Hating the 'sweaty, plastic windsock' type of tent it took a while to find just what I wanted. I was over the moon to receive my new weekender - this was short lived. After much huffing and puffing and finally, measuring, I got the tent up. The only way I could get everything to sit right was by measuring out the 8x8 square of the dome and pegging the legs to the floor, then lifting the canvas on top. Only then could I get the damn thing to go up properly. Yes, I'm sure there are better ways of doing it. I tried it by the trad' way of bringing it to its knees and then putting the canvas on top then lifting the corners but that was even harder. So sod this! After 4 attempts in the garden and finally succeeding I have decided it’s not worth the hassle. It is now up for grabs on the small ads. Has anyone else got one of these tents and how do you put it up. Please bear in mind I have to do this on my own as the hubby doesn’t do camping and I manage my 6 berth Athena quite easily.
