Strictly speaking, you shouldn`t use normal domestic appliances in a tent. Two reasons for this...firstly they can draw too much power and trip the connection box, secondly they`re not protected against condensation and moisture ingress to the level that made-for-outdoors equipment is.
However most folk choose to ignore this second recommendation (if indeed they ever knew it) and plug any old thing into their EHU. But there are plenty of outdoor rated appliances availible, and IMHO they are the more sensible choice.
