hi all
have been reading this website for a few weeks now. we brought a tent a couple of weeks ago and had our first experience of putting up a tent for the first time in very strong wind at 8 in the morning after driving for two hours, and had a great argument in whispers with each other while trying to look like we knew what we were doing!!!
anyway we approached some fellow campers and they were more than happy to help us. they did say that it was exceptionally windy, and not a good idea for the first time! haha!
anyway we had a great but cold time! need to buy a heater! the sleeping bags were very cosy though and the kids had the time of their life!
anyway the reason for this post except to say hi was that we were thinking about going away again this may and would like to go to Wales but not the coast just inside the boarder really cos we will be going only for a long weekend and dont wish to drive for hours! so if anyone has any great campsites that our worth a visit i would really appreciate it. im not that bothered about the sites that have pools and entertainment, i would love really to be preety rural. need toilets though. woods would be good!
anyway thanks for this website its got some great stuff in it and lots of good advice.
i think i will get to enjoy camping the more i do it!
does anyone remember that film "nuts in may"
anyway thanks for reading
