Hi there

last year, i saw somebody with a windbreak that was green canvas, could have been a fishing windbreak, it looked great, it was inkeeping with the whole green look unlike the attractive stripy beach type windbreaks!!!!!!

has anybody come across such a windbreak, and if not can anybody recommend a decent (as attractive to the eye as possible), windbreak

thanks

I have seen these in CCC in Sheffield, often matching a particular brand of tent, quite pricey though.

We have a blue windbreak that matches the tent. Various colours available from good camping outlets and they pack down smaller than the stripey seaside types.

We saw a green canvas one in Go Outdoors in Wigan on Saturday. Can't remember the make, but I think that some of the windbreaks on here made by the big names have got bad reviews, I'd do a search before buying one.
We have a stripey blue one, it cost £3.99 and does the job we want it to do, plus the tent is blue so it matches!

We ordered to green ones last year to match the tent. They have are about five foot tall and have a clear plastic window and are really wide, we actually only needed one, but only realized that when they were delivered. They are £24.99 but we got them a couple of quid cheaper in a sale. Try Vango or Gelert windbreaks form outdoor world, or search a price comparison site for the best prices, remember when comparing to add the cost of delivery.

These are great looking but they are harder to put up and take much longer to erect  than standard windbreaks and in my experiance last about 2 seconds in strong winds, i did have three but took 2 back to the shop and the third is just siting in my garage collecting dust in its bag where it will stay till can be bothered to eBay it.

Well, I dunno, looks great to me! You just reminded me I meant to order one though, for using on a campsite that doesn`t allow extra tents of any sort ie no kichen tent. So I just did order it and I`ll get back to you in a couple of weeks as to what I think of it.
