thanks for that, Lawser. Had a feeling it was the same tent. cant wait to get going now, so if you see 2 idiots struggling with a killington then you'll know its us.
An extra wee tip - also mentioned on Posts for the Vango Diablo....
The Vango video doesn't show you how they get the main dome up - with all the poles in place the tent is pretty heavy. The taller of you should wriggle into the flysheet and then lift the dome up from the inside - supporting the poles while the one on the outside fits the ring and pin system. Once you have the dome up - the rest is easy!!!
Various posts have mentioned saggy bedrooms on the Diablo - I'm happy to report that the Killington/Kirkwood doesn't suffer this problem.
hi we`ve just tried our killington 600 up in the back field and we done the same got me to crawl inside to push the dome poles up from the inside , found it pretty easy to put up aswell, mind you i think i got the hardest job of trying to hold the poles up. but the tent is great can`t wait to take it out hopefully going to the star caravan park near alton towers for a few days at whit.
thank for that mamabo and nanook. Just got word my tent will be in next week so i am just about as excited as a teenager in a mobile phone shop! booked a short break at barns ness for the may bank holiday, so we will try it out then. Neither of us is very tall so it should be fun erecting it - suppose i'll just make sure there's plenty of beer in and we'll be fine! oh incidently has anyone got the footprint? and if you have are they effective?
iv`e ordered the footprint but they aren`t in yet till the end of may so don`t` know how effective they are yet, but think it will take a lot of the strain off cleaning the bottom of the tent.
yes but how easy are they to line up with the tent? willl i be there all day worrying that i cant get it just right........ oops - do i sound a tad highly strung?
