Sold caravan last year due to the high cost of keeping it and only using a few weeks each year (due to work commitments), we have just bought a Khyam Brekenridge Deluxe (9 Berth) for £216, being delivered on Tuesday. OH is so excited, and already planning a weekend away to try it out. Trouble is, now looking on internet and Argos catalogue for all the new bits we need to buy, like EHU, stove and airbeds.

Guess where we'll be sleeping over the bank holiday. Good job our house backs on to fields, we can just pretend we are on holiday.

Congratulations and enjoy!  Know what you mean about all the extra bits.  We were very fortunate that  a friend who used to camp gave us his old stove.  EHU was a christmas present from my parents.  Airbed - we're on our second as our cheap first one split and we had to buy a second in a hurry.  We bought a couple of brand new saucepans at a jumble sale for £1.50 - they were still in their box and had to be assembled.

Congratulations clbewi. Hope you enjoy your first trip. Say goodbye to any spare cash as the local camping shops always have a new must have item

Enjoy - incidentally I saw that Tesco Direct have the Campingaz kitchen on sale for just 23.97 and there is a 5 pound off voucher code that you can use too.

I am getting one - gonna move on up from my little bistro which I really like but with the 2 kids baying for their tea it would be easier!

Agree re sleeping bags - get good price but not poor quality.
