There are a quite a few manufacturers make these now. I have a Quechue 2 man and they are serious tents, have stayed 2 weeks in mine in a variety of weathers.  PamJ

I have seen those before and they look a great idea...pity they only make them as big as a dog kennel. If they made them big enough to stand up and move around in they would probably take over the entire camping market...and I might even sell my caravan and go back to tenting.

I think these tents look fab and couldn't be easier.  I was interested in purchasing a quechua one but having searched for the quechua T6.2XL I found this...

www.wtnh.com/Global/story.asp?S=5550907

I'm sure it won't be all of these tents but this link gives the numbers concerned and allows people to make checks as to the safety of the one they have or are considering buying.

Hope this helps everyone stay safe and be happy campers

Hi all,

I'm a newbie to camping (and this site) but my boyfriend is a seasoned camper, climber, hiker...you name it!

We have two tents between us - one is a Quechua '2 second' tent, the other the Quechua T3+. We put up both tents in our living room last night (as you do) to test them out before our camping trip next weekend. We found that the fibreglass frame for the '2 second' tent had snapped clean in half rendering it useless. He's used it only half a dozen times so he's going to take it back to Decathlon tomorrow to see what they say - will let you know the outcome.

Thank goodness for the T3+! Bigger tent but still only took a couple of minutes to erect. Nice.

Good news! Decathlon have a 2 year warranty on tents and even though the OH didn't have the receipt they've done a straight swap. Marvellous! Well done, Decathlon.

I have a Quechua 3 second - been on 3 camping trips last year with it, so far it seems robust and hasn't failed yet! Only thing I stuggle with is packing it away again!

Those pop up things require a certain nack for getting them back into their bags.  No tent here, but many, many pop up 'houses', tunnels and other kiddy toys designed around that idea.  The number of times I've tried to do that figure of eight maneouver and almost dislocated my shoulder, or had the whole pop back open and thwack me round the head just as I was wrestling it back into the bag is unreal!

Can you imagine trying to coax a 4/6man pop up back in its bag
