Please can anyone help?

I have missplaced the bung and cap for our air-bed.

The bung is a rubber type which is approx 1 inch in diameter. The cap screws on over the bung.

I have searched everywhere to try to find replacements with no luck.

Thanks in advance, Paul

Hi Paul - I know this might sound daft (like most of my posts) but I know where you can get TWO for £5 -  buy a single airbed from GoOutdoors.

Lets face it - if you did find somewhere selling just the bungs, they wouldn't be a lot cheaper.

Hi Paul

Google uk sites "airbed bung".  There are loads of hits.

Cheers

Brainhertz,

Brilliant idea! I think our air bed was originally nearer to £30, so £5 for two bungs sounds good to me.

Thanks Again

Paul

Hi PDW

The very same thing happened to me. I lost a screw on cap for my air bed and was ready to throw the bed away. On the off chance, I went to our local GoOutdoors to see what I could do and Gelert do a universal spares and repair kit. It cost me 99p and now I have two spare bungs and a spare cap (the second one is on my bed) along with a patch just in case you get a puncture and glue!!! I was so chuffed with myself!!!!

Hope you get it sorted!

Laura

Sounds like the same little bag you get with the mattress, so for an extra £4 you could get a single matress as well.

To be honest not sure of the make, it was pre-camping days but dusted it off when we started camping. It's a flocked navy blue bed with a white bung probably about the size of a penny then a white screw on protector cap.

I have done the same, although I have the bung and can never remember ever having the plastic protective cap.  My air bed tends to go down and need re-inflating every morning, does the Cap do anything other than keep you from loosing the bung?  It seems to stay in ok without it.

I suppose to a certain degree it holds the bung in.  I must say I'm a bit of a wriggler and you can guarantee I would wake up on an uninflated bed the first night of a week away!!!!
