Hi we have a Montana 4 and every time we take the tent down we try folding it a different way to see if we can make it easier to fit in the bag, we still cant seem to get it right, so any tips would be appreciated, many thanks, Gaztop.

The doors should be left partly open so the air can easily be expeled when folding.

Lay the tent out flat and fold in half lengthways (side to side).  The ring and pins will all be together on one side of the tent.  Now fold in half lengthways once more.  Make sure you've got all the rings and pins all down one side.  Now when the tent is rolled up they won't cause any damage.

Roll the tent up, pushing the air out as you go.  It should fit in the bag quite easily?

Did you remember to take the frame off?

(On a more serious note, we've got a Montana 4 and never really had any probs. I tend to put the poles in the bag first, sort of flattened out/twds the back of the bag, then the canvas. I think I too fold it lengthwise twice, but I can't rember exactly. I always position the bag nearby, so I can keep eyeing up the size it needs to end up as, if that makes sense).

T.

We have never got ours back in and dont want to force it in just incase we do any damage.

So we put the tent and bedroom in the main monty bag and the poles in there own bag - but we loop the poles through the handles of the main tent bag. We also do this with the canopy bag.

Years ago with our old tent - hubbie had a bright idea to store poles and tent separate - oh yes - we arrived at the site no poles - just aswell our friend had a big tent !!!
