Can anyone recommend the best place to buy baby/toddler sleeping bags and pop up cots?  I have placed an advert in the free ads for a Vango Nightstar Baby Sleeping bag as i understand this is the best one, is that right? My youngest is 6 months and the eldest is 18 months.  We are fair weather campers, I want my kids to be as comfortable as possible.  Thanks in advance.  Kym

We've just bought a pop-up bubble cot from kiddicare.com and will be trying it out this weekend. Our baby (11wks) will be sleeping in a sleepsuit, velour all-in-one (the type they wear instead of a coat) inside a grobag with blankets if needed. www.danonn.com make fleece sleepsuits / all-in-ones (incase you wanted to go down that route).

Hi there we've not been camping yet but we have just got a graco travel cot for our LO (13 months) he is not a particularly huge baby (10 kgs) but the pop up ones all seemed quite small and have weight limits of around 11 kgs.

Those cheap fleecy cot/buggy blankets are great - I still have them for my kids although they are older.   Things like blankets mean that you can adjust the layers to suit the temprature more easily than you can with layers of clothing.

The car/throw ones are great for grown ups as well.

Hi just come back from out first camping trip with `14 month old toddler, we bought a Vango baby sleeping bag (probably too big for a baby but ok a 18 month old)- we borrowed a ready bed from my sister in law, it is a blow up bed with a fleecy blancket attached which you can zip up - the first two nights we didn't put her in cos we thought she may be too warm but she rolled off! on night 3 we put her in her bag and zipped her in the ready bed - stopped her from rolling off and slept like a log!
