We have a gas lamp that we use outside and a rechargeable lantern and wind up torches for inside adn glow sticks for the zips on the bedrooms they stay lit all night and you can find the zip in the middle of the night when the bucket is needed lol
Flourescent tube for use with EHU, Tilley lamp and oil hurricane lamp should electric fail, battery and wind-up torches for general use, battery head lamp for reading.
I used a battery lamp from Argos...the type that has a bright or dim switch. Batteries last ages. A torch for finding my way back from the pub and glow sticks attached to my guy ropes so other people didn't trip over them.
Just remember that if you have too bright a light in a tent everyone outside can see what's going on inside...not that there were ever any goings on in my tent
Bright light is good!!! But only out off bed
Lol, yes there are many stories of the shadow theatre for adults... Seriously it depends a little on the size of tent and your preferences.
We currently have - 1 x Campinggaz 80W, 1 x Sunngass Patio Table Gas Light, 2 x Fluroescent Tube Recharge Lanterns, 1 x LED Recharge Strip (Really good), couple of good torches and when possible a few glowsticks as nighlights. (Our lad doesn't like it that dark bless him)
Tend to use the gas mostly with the electrics for extra light if needed (Cooking etc) bear in mind we do have a rather large tent.
