Good old dustpan & brush, we have a Vango Diablo 600 (big tent) but still only takes a few minutes to clean floor.

On my first camping trip I spent hours laughing because the lady in the tent opposite was brushing out her tent with a fill size broom.  After several camping trips I then acquired a dustpan and brush. We now have a bigger tent and  have just bought a carpet - will I be taking a hoover along next?

The idea of taking the dustbusters  is good but its back breaking crawling round on hands and knees and the dar is full!

Instead of a mop I use our towels at the end of the trip to wipe down the groundsheets.

Sometimes I think I must be the only person bothered about something or feel strange asking a question - then I get 3 pages of replys, I don't feel silly anymore thankyou.

I always take a packet of kitchen wipes and baby wipes. The kitchen wipes are great for the floor as they don't make it slippery. The baby wipes are useful for wiping tables, kids etc.

Me too. I save our oldest towels to use while camping, and they get binned after our longest trip of the year.

Just a thought re towels though....anyone tried using a microfibre towel to sweep up inside a tent? You`d think quite a lot of small grot would stick to it. (I`m not trying this out, because microfibre towels make me itch just thinking of them.)

Morrisons are selling tiny dustpan and brush sets for £1.79. At our store they are by the basket only tills. I keep looking at them wondering if I would use it. Maybe I will buy one now - you've talked me into it.
