A Tarpaulin. Traditionally an oil coated cloth to provide waterproofing. General terms now to describe waterproof coverings whether oil based or synthetic, eg groundsheets etc
Well said Al, I was gonna say that myself. We use tarpaulins under the SIG`s of our tents to keep the SIG`s clean and dry, as with such large tents it makes it far easier to dry them out and pack them away.
Almost all camping shop sell them in various thicknesses and sizes they range from about £7 upwards. We got a 14 foot squre for £12 from our local camping shop.
