Having just had a trial errection of my new Outwell Arizona L i'm a bit unsure about the groundsheet, it appears to be  bigger than the area it's supposed to fit!  do you just lay the groudsheet loose or do you peg it down? it would appear that by pegging it down part of it would be outside the tent, fine in dry weather but a sure way of collecting water when it rains   but if not pegged down isn't it noisy in the wind?

as i'm usually on my own,  any tips for putting up this tent solo in the wind? (apart from finding someone esle  )

Hi vfr400

Looking at the picture here, the groundsheet is flat, not a bathtub, therefore you shouldn't expect it to be bigger than the porch area for the reasons you say.  Is it possible that the tent came with the wrong groundsheet or you've pitched the tent higher than it should be therefore making it narrower?

Hope you get it sorted out!

vfr400

On Outwell's website they have a video showing an Arizona L being pitched.  Maybe that will show how the groundsheet should look?

Thanks Mully and Stevie just looked at the video again and this time noticed the mudflaps pegged outside the tent which would probably cover the ground sheet.
