Following on from janso's and horsepills thread ...

I really wanted a kitchen tent .. I hinted and pleaded .. and acted all sweet and hurt..  but no he had to put his foot down!  Humpf..   Did he not understand that I wanted to keep the porch on our new Sun valley 8 clean and clear of junk..  oh no ..  not one bit.  He just reminded me we bought the SV8 so we could cook in the porch  sigh MEN !!*%$!..

so I did the deed and ordered the OR Outhouse in complete defiance ..  hid the emails and started to worry ..  couldn't ask for guidance here   because he reads the threads.

I thought about putting it up in the garden ala janso ..  but he was going to be there for the delivery man and not me.  Unforseen problem!

So, I sent him an email from work this morning .. came clean ..   ( chicken )

and this is the reply I got ...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH !!!!

From going from one wee toy tent for me and him to go away for one night, to having : .....

1 x toy tent
1 x giant Hartford
1 x Hartford extension thing
2 x giant SVs
1 x giant SV on the way
1 x borrowed side canopy thing, (and no doubt "We really NEED one of these of our own")
1 x cooker tent

really sounds like Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour to me.

Well, I hope that you, Rug, Mutt and cooker will be really happy staying in your new acquisition.

What's next ??  A tent for the mutt ??  With en-suite poo patch ??
A tent to keep the other tent dry ??  A tent for the car ??

You'd better get out and find yourself a Friday, Saturday and Sunday job to pay for all your toys and bread and water.

I say again .........  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH !!!!  Why MEEEEE ???

well that didn't go too badly did it .. ?

I just replied and said 'i am glad you are taking it so well.

Have to say that THREE SVs does sound a little excessive.....

Hubby doesn`t take much notice if I buy another tent. But that`s because he knows I`m the meanest bargain hunter on the planet and have never spent more than £200 on a tent in my life. (That`s including the TT. ) And also when one tent arrives, another one leaves.

Even he might notice 3 SVs though....

Well val .. not really 3 .. I bouhgt one from ebay last year .. but it had had quite a bit of use but still a great tent.  We decided my beloved Hartford XL was a bit too much for weekends but we like the space. So this year I saw an unused SV8 on here for sale so we bought that.  It had a manufacturing  fault ( but not leaky ) with the anchor points for 3rd bedroom.  So Yeomans are replacing it .. they will take one tent away I will sell our wonderful Hartford and canopy and the other SV8. Voila.

So Harford XL ( boohoo ) 2005 going up for grabs.  So is the canopy.  And the older SV8 .. would make a good buy for someone on a budget who doesn't mind the porch being a bit leaky .. the main tent is sound.

he will exaggerate though lol

Sounds a bit like Richard.  Couple of weeks ago I won (Ebay) a Sunncamp Contential 4 for when its just me and the kids.
Quaked in my boots when I had to tell him - NOT.
Going away for a few days next week to try it out.  Just hope that the weather is nice.
