Well we tried to camp at the weekend.  Used this website to find a site with a couple of decent reviews ..... turned up and the owner obviously hadn't got the idea of pitches for tents!  He tried to point out a space about the size of our small tent at the back of the portacabin, with the back of a caravan on the other side.  Our guy lines would literally have been under the caravan, and their window looked down onto us. 

Now I know to check the reviews, but they were good, and the campsite was otherwise lovely.....  so as a warning to others - check that the reviewer was in a tent!!!!! 

Review posted!  Also added a couple of other (more flattering) ones.

Actually I might start a thread encouraging people to write reviews - it is what brought me to this website after all!

Hi all,

The reviews are good but can be confusing when 1 camper has had a bad experience then the next review thinks its great.

Would be better if a point system was set up.

I've always found the reviews on this site useful but it's important to realise that people have different expectations, plus some people are a lot more reactive than others. Therefore some things/absence of things are more important and therefore a bigger drama for Person A than they would be for Person B.

I do try to add reviews when I feel I have something to add as I recognise that the more reviews the broader the information available about a site.
