If you have a copy of the email that you sent, I would contact them (By phone) and say that the order was cancelled on such and such a date and they can arrange for it to be collected at their cost. Make sure you record the telephone conversation (ie: write down what is said) and make sure you get names. Don't be fobbed off, and if they say you have to send it back at your cost, tell them that it's their responsibility to collect the goods.
Stay calm, don't get cross, and if there are any difficulties get in contact with Citizens Advice who will be able to give you the legal side to this and will tell you what to quote them.

By the way, when it was delivered you could have refused it at the door!!!!!
