headed off to Cartmell this weekend with some friends and packed all our wet weather gear (forgot my underwear but hey who needs that..... ) as the weather forecast was a tad on the gloomy side, with wind and rain predicted and what did we get...... sunshine! Not that I'm complaining but it really would make life easier when packing if the weather forecasters where at least predicting something remotely accurate!!!!!

Just in case you were wondering I borrowed hubbie's boxers, just a good job it wasn't him who forgot them!!!!

I completely agree (about the weather forecast that is - not sure about the underwear bit!.

It's impossible to travel light when you have to pack clothes for all weathers for 5 people like we do!!

Still, better it went the way it did - you could have packed shorts and ended up in a blizzard!

Advice for camping on the furness peninsula, check the forecast and pack for the complete opposite! They never get the forecast right for this neck of the woods! But wasn't it a fab weekend!

Just back from a weekend in Bakewell, watched weather forecasts all week prior, and OH packed for wet miserable weather on my advice
Luckily i packed shorts for the trips to shower, etc The weather has been fantastic all weekend (between 20 and 25 degrees during the day)
As you can imagine, my name was mud for advising that it was going to be wet, ha ha.
