What a brilliant list, already printed for study tonight.

Going back to the electricty question I made earlier.  What exactly does EHU mean, it sounds like if I take along my extension leads then the world is my oyster.  Or at least I can use appliances?

The bread maker will probably make to much noice and upset the neighbours though...

Also how do you use a toaster on a camp site?

if you don't use electric.. which we don't... you use one of these .  They have been discussed on various threads. We found it very useful.. although you will see on my home page that we did burn the croissants a bit ph34r smileys

i have a list of what i have in boxes and holdalls etc then alist of boxes and holdalls as they go in the car.

Both lists are in an exersise book so i take it away with me to jot notes in for things that might come in usful next trip!

sooooooooo organised!

i am envious.smile smileys

our 'stuff' is secreted all round the house so i have to gather it all together before we set out.

My alphabetical list (just right, i have found, for 2 adults no kids and no ehu) is a final check.

i do try to organise the packing in a more moduled manner. Especially after our last festival when it ended up all a bit of a rush and i spent most of our time away (it seemed) trying to find stuff in my (astra) van. dry smileys

Found the checklist on here the other day and its great.  Not to mention reading these message boards.  Although am now worried because we don't have an airbed - assumed they were for wimps - but now realise this may have been a BIG mistake!!!

First outing this weekend and I'm sure we'll forget something.  Probably stop off at Aldi on way home to make the most of their camping Sunday special this weekend - which includes airbeds!!

it was a borrowed airbed that convinced me, after 40 years in denial, that camping was ok.

it was also the borrowed airbed deflating in the middle of the night that made me buy one with a failsafe stopper!!! and a rechargeable pump!!

i like my campiggaz one with pillows but i will be shouted down by the coleman double comfort supporters Laughing smileys

I added the extra colum on the front as it would not post fully without it - if you can think of anything I should have as a must, please let me know (we have no electric) x

Tesco's (where else) have some really cheap ones in and they have this clever mechanism in them that does automatically blows them up.

I am still unsure about the EHU thingy.  Should I bring my extension lead and a few select goods?  For instance we have a little fridge that we used for the babies milk that would be a real bonus to have around.

good one! I don't normally bother as i only use the phone to send a couple of picture 'postcards' but one of our daughters is due to have a baby in july and if it is early it could come while we are away. I'll see if i can find the car charger thingy.

new to camping .. thanks..i need to add dustpan and brush to my list. We had to buy one.. and a mop, when we are in the new forest last year in our new khyam! We didn't need it for the quechua. You just pick it up and shake it :)

Blue Tree.. i think you need a special thingy ehu extension lead for your appliances. i love appliances but manage without when camping.  I can't believe i do that

nb:i haven't included a coolbox because we haven't got one... yet.
