Hey

Sorry if i'm repeating a topic all ready discussed. I've been camping a couple of times now still very green about the ears. Can anyone recommend any good lighting? We've had lamps but sem to give off no light or bright enough. We've now resorted to buying a standard lamp from ikea

Any suggestions would be greatfully appreciated!

Izzy

The Colemans are incredibly bright, but they need careful handling and give of a lot of heat. Campinggaz gas mantle light give of good light too, but like the Colemans need care. I personally would not use them in a tent containing children.

I bought a bulk head awning light which is a mains powered light on a long lead and provides ample lighting.  The halogen lantern I had before that gives a bit of light but not very good if you need a direct light.

you could also try an LED lamp... those things really throw out some light!

I've tried all sorts and still can't get the desired affect of my bedside lamp at home. I think I'm asking too much!

I have gas ones when I don't have hook up but I just bought one of those wind up ones as I already had a wind up torch but the lamp is rubbish and lasts a few minutes.
