can anyone help please like the idea of wall to wall carpeting as in the outwell monty 6, but have gelert lokon vario 5 have just bought 2 picnic rugs from aldi as OH thinks this will do anyone got any suggestions please
Carpet is certainly a luxury, I'm with your OH, aldi picnic rugs can be trod on and covered in mud and grass, bunged in washing machine and hung on the line, I've got 3 sainsbury's ones (free when you buy 5 things with stickers on) and intend using some of these in our living space so the kids can sprawl on the floor.
Just returned from first weekend with new carpet (monty 6) its great made a real difference didnt slip and fitted perfect a great buy especially with my 1 year old crawling all over it, Next purchase a hoover!!!!
I'm with your OH here as well. We have picnic rugs with the same intention of being able to chuck them in washing machine or even just chuck them !! Really makes a difference to the comfort level of your tent.I have them in the tent bedroom as well, yes fully carpeted on a budget !!! Why spend more than you need too thats my motto
I bought an Outwell 'Wall to Wall' carpet for my Hartford. We used it on our last trip and it was superb, makes sitting in the tent on a wet day very comfortable. I highly recommend them.
The Outwell carpet is great. Extremely comfortable, warm and stays put. There is nothing to trip over and any electrical wires can easily be run underneath. It also packs up extremely small ( the one for my Vermont fits under the drivers seat of my car if it had to ), but it still covers the complete floor of the tent neatly.
Agree with langleys on this one. The carpet is great and especially if you have a dog because you don't get the clippy clippy noise everytime they walk about!
I use to use a number of picnic rugs in my Diablo but now I have an Outwell Minnesota with the fitted carpet. I find the carpet is better as the rugs used to slide around a bit but anything is better than nothing as it does help with keeping the floor warm.
We have just returned from our first trip and we had 2 picnic rugs down which covered half our living space so i've nipped to our local home bargain today and they have them in for £1.99 so i've just bougt another 4 so i can have spares as well, they definately do the job and make it a bit more cosy inside.
