Ive just been to aldi this morning and bought a 3 storey kitchen unit for 15 quid, same one at argos is £25, perfect height for the stove, and folds away into its own good quality carry case, (bargain)
I bought the windbreak from Tesco, about £7 pounds i think and it was hopeless !!
Really difficult to put up and keep up so i ended up buying a cheap stripey one from the beach shop. But on the bright side i now have spare upright poles which i used to make a porch on my Oregon 4 and have a few spare steel pegs too !
tesco have put some folding chairs on sale at £5.69 and they are a good adult size i bought 2 and heading down for more as they are well made and come with the bag to keep it in ,worth checking out!
I have the windbreak from Tesco as well, haven't had a problem with it yet, needs to be pegged and guyed though but nice compact size.I also have the now legendary stripey beach one as well ,good for building up the muscles on my arms or letting out pent up aggro !!
Bought the chairs at Tesco last year and they were good, better than the slightly more expensive ones we bought at Homebase which are showing signs of wear.
Also bought an airbed which has been good, although I think there have been mixed experiences with these.
I have been thinking about the Tesco 4 man vis a vis tent: does anyone have one and is it any good? I bought a 2 man tent from Tesco last year and it did have a couple of leaks, but lets face it for £8 what do you expect, it is now in its 2nd season so I've had my money's worth
i dont reckon much to the quality of the tents. I bought a four man version with a small porch, was reduced to £7 from £30 for the kids to use/play with. The poles were very flimsy and the stitching and sealed seams were poorly done. Iv not had it up in the rain so cant comment, but as someone else said at that price, who cares.
hey, shocking, we also have the Hartford XL tent. How do you get on with it? and whats it like for holding out rain (not camped in ours whilst raining yet!!)
Poor quality tents are fine when the weather is fine....... Lets face it if the weather is good you could sleep without one! or a tarpaulin. When the weather turns that is when you discover when you have a decent tent!!
2am in morning discovering you are damp, or that the tent has disappeared over the cliff is not my idea of fun....
